Well then… A new series!
If you didn’t know, I’m a nosey cow 😉 so I love reading more personal posts by – as well getting recommendations from – my fave internet creators.
Sooo I thought this would be a nice way for me to share more of what I get up to each month and some things I’m enjoying, which you might enjoy too!
Happy reading!

Fashion
I have been absolutely liiiiiving in my faux leather trousers from Zara this month!
They just really dress up my usual winter wardrobe of warm knits & oversized coats, that bit more.
I’ve been wearing them with boots but I’ve seen lots of creators style them with black converse too, which looks SUPER cute.
The pants in question – only £29.99 and in stock in all sizes! Click here
Travel
My boyfriend & I took a wee day trip to Oxford at the beginning of January as we were supposed to be up north, but Covid sadly delayed our plans. So we decided to keep the day off, and do a quick city break to combat the January blues!
It was my first time visiting Oxford, and (despite abysmal weather) I absolutely loved it!
Our first stop was for some vital caffeination at Society Cafe (I used to frequent the branch in Bath all the time as a student, so this was super nostalgic!) followed by a nosey around all the usual tourist haunts – the colleges, the Rad Cam, etc – before well and truly losing ourselves in Blackwell’s, the legendary bookshop. Heaven.
Food
We rounded off our day in Oxford with a meal at Victor’s, which is one of my fave restaurants from back home in Manchester (they have a site in Hale), so I was excited to visit this newer branch in Oxford Westgate. It’s a gorgeous setting and the food is fab – proper date night vibes!
Lifestyle
The Hoxton, Holborn
One of my fave hotel chains, The Hoxton’s spaces are always design-led yet cosy, and feel like a real ‘home away from home’. I used to be a regular at the Shoreditch and Holborn locations pre-pandemic, and a recent trip to Paris reignited my love for the brand when we had some pretty life-changing Old Fashioneds at Jacques’ Bar.
I can confirm that the Old Fashioned at the Holborn location was pretty great too!
We also gave the downstairs wine bar, Rondo La Cave, a visit – however I must admit, I didn’t really like any of the three wines I tried… (but then, I’m v picky with my wine).
Entertainment
I’ve just finished watching The Tourist on BBC, which was so surprisingly funny and off the wall – it has the same writer as Fleabag, and you can totally tell! Highly recommend, if you liked that.
I’m now re-watching Euphoria season one, as my boyfriend hasn’t seen it (can you believe!). So we need to rectify that for sureee, because a) he really needs to understand/participate in the zeitgeist moment, and b) I’m desperate to watch season two!

That’s all for now… I’ve got some lovely bits planned in Feb, so I’ll be back with more faves in a month 🙂
